On the 19th of October 2011, a meeting was held in Rome, Italy, between the delegation of NAEC, headed by the director Mr. Sadi Hoti, and representatives of DigitPA (Centro Nazionale per l'informatica nella Pubblica Amministrazione).

This visit was made possible with the mediation of Postecom SA. This visit is the last of a series of ones that NAEC has made with homologous institutions in the European Union member states, with the purpose of exchanging information and gather valuable experience and best practices for the performance in our activities, like BNETZA (Federal Network Agency) in Germany and ANSII (Network and Information Security Agency) in France.

After the introductory remarks and a short description of the activities of their agency, by the President of DigitPA Mr. Francesco Beltrame, Mr. Eris Asllani, Head of the Accreditation Department has presented briefly the situation on electronic signatures and electronic communications in Albania, with emphasis on the management of Electronic Signatures. Afterwards Mr. Tatti, Mr. Arbia and Mrs. Lodi have presented other activities of DigitPA, registration and supervision procedures of Certification Service Providers as well as digitalization of the public administration.

At the end of the meeting the Director of NAEC, Mr. Hoti has stressed the need to continue the correspondence, the future exchange of experience in possible bilateral collaborations and the role of both agencies as a medium for the respective Ministries in drafting a memorandum of collaboration.
